With a frontispiece, folding map and four plates to 'Eaton', a folding frontispiece, decorative vignette title, two folding maps, two plates and one vignette to 'Bath', frontispiece, five plates and a plan to 'Kenilworth' in addition to an engraved frontispiece and six plates to 'Coventry'. An uncommon selection of guides, all published between 1824 and 1825. These guides look at schools, castles, priories, barracks, and other locations of note. CONDITION In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light fading to the spine. Rear hinge is slightly strained but firm. Reinforcements to the front and rear of the work. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Occasional light offsetting from the plates. Prior owner's inscription to the fore-margin of title page to 'Eaton', 'Kenilworth' and 'Coventry'. Pages are clean. This now sits alongside a companion volume, another work of Worcestershire historian and antiquarian, John Noak. I very much looking forward to reading it.
