Part of a well-documented series of guidebooks, King’s “Handbook to the Cathedrals of England” is broken into geographical elements and each area of England then discussed in reference to the many beautiful cathedrals therein. Extensively illustrated, these texts provide a guide to the layouts, locations and unique characteristics of England’s architectural wonders. Many are still existing so these books would provide a lovely guide to a vacation or tour. This particular volume contains Durham, with its Tomb of the Venerable Bede, Chester Cathedral and Manchester Cathedral. Illustrated are various architectural high points of each along with floor plans. This has a signed binding by Tout and Sons.     The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Welcome home to this little gem in the form of a small book. I will take very good care of you! I highly recommend this seller.

    Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
