There are several bright full-page photographs of the iconic architecture of St Paul's Cathetral, St Mary-Le-Bow and many more. In addition to the sixty-four plates there are many in-text diagrams and architectural plans from the likes of Inigo Jones, Nicholas Hawksmoor, James Gibbs and Sir Christopher Wren. An attractive work, in a smart half morocco binding. CONDITION In a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with patches of light rubbing to the joints and to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional scattered spots to pages, mostly to the first and last few pages. Otherwise, the plates remain relatively bright and clean.     I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
