The work contains ten plates and facsimiles throughout and is part of a limited printing of 500 copies. Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973), a noted book collector and diarist. CONDITION In paper-vellum binding with gilt detailing and paper-covered boards. Externally very smart, there is some minor wear to the extremities only. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, with some remnants of adhesive labels to the pastedown. I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
