This is somewhat of an unusual volume. The spine of the book has a spine label that reads "Diet & Indigestion." Internally, the book contains two treatises related to Diet and Digestion. The first is "A Treatise on Diet: With a View to Establish On Practical Grounds, A System of Rules for the Prevention and Cure of the Diseases Incident to a Disordered State of the Digestive Functions" by J.A. Paris, MD. Published by Robert H. Small, Philadelphia, 1826. 210 pages. The second treatise is "A Treatise On Indigestion and Its Consequences Called Nervous and Bilious Complaints; With Observations on the Organic Diseases , in Which They sometimes Terminate" by A.P.W. Philip. Published by Evert Duyckinck, New York, 1824. Fourth Edition. The Treatises are bound into a single full leather binding. Shows wear to corners, remains a solid copy. Considerable darkening/spotting to pages internally and there is a closed tear to one page at the rear of the book--please view all of my photos to asses the the state of the book for yourself. I will call the book Good, at best. Measures 5 1/2 X 8 3/8, over 400 total pages. I have not been able to locate any other copies of this bound collection of treatises!! I have located copies of each of the individual treatises--the first selling for upwards of $250 and the second selling for upwards of $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
