Description
Godzilla vs. Biollante is a 1989 Japanese kaiju film directed by Kazuki Omori. It is the seventh installment in the Heisei series of the Godzilla franchise and is notable for its unique storyline and character development. The film centers around a geneticist named Dr. Genshiro Shiragami, who attempts to create a new life form by combining Godzilla's DNA with that of a rose and his deceased daughter’s cells. This experimental creature, named Biollante, becomes a massive, plant-like monster with the ability to manipulate its environment. When Godzilla awakens and threatens Japan once again, Biollante emerges as a formidable adversary. As the story unfolds, themes of scientific ethics, the consequences of genetic manipulation, and humanity's struggle against nature are explored. The film features impressive special effects and a more complex narrative compared to earlier Godzilla films, focusing on the emotional turmoil of the characters involved. Godzilla vs. Biollante is praised for its creativity and depth, making it a standout entry in the Godzilla series, particularly among fans who appreciate the environmental and ethical dilemmas presented in the storyline.

Arrived one week before its estimated delivery date. The packaging was a little light, but the item was well taken care of. Both DVD disc and case are in great condition, as fresh as one right out of the store. I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, and has been nearly impossible to find in physical media. So happy to finally add it to my DVD library.
