As his first book, "The Pituitary Body and Its Disorders' was first delivered as a lecture in New York in 1910. This expanded edition expands on the original lecture and includes many illustrations which were unique to the format at the time. Published as part of the Classics in Medicine Library by Gryphon Editions, Octavo (7" x 10") full leather with gilt designs on covers and spine. Hubbed spine with five compartments, three with writing. silk moir endpapers. Re-creation of the original title page, and inclusion of the original plates, both grayscale and color. Printed on acid free paper with gilt edging; includes silk bookmark sewn into binding. Excellent condition with no signs of wear, smudhing, or foxing.
