A general notice about the Bibles I sell: Once I receive a Bible, the first thing I do is give it a thorough cleaning. This includes dusting off the cover, liners, page edges and gutters. Then I wipe down the cover and liners with a very-lightly dampened cloth to remove any dirt, mold or mildew. If the edition has a funky smell, I let it air out for a few days to help dissipate the scent. If there is mold or mildew present, I freeze the edition for a couple of days in a plastic bag to neutralize any spores, preventing further growth. After that, I do a very gentle librarian-style break in every 10 pages to loosen the spine and prepare the edition for use. I then flip through every page. Yes, I have seen every single page of every Bible I sell. This is to ensure that any dirt, flowers, hair, loose paper or anything else is removed. I also check for any writing, highlighting, missing, damaged or untrimmed pages. If there are pencil marks, I carefully erase them with a white hi-polymer eraser so as not to damage the paper or leave any marks. If there are dog eared pages, or creases, I remove them using a teflon page folder so there is no burnishing to the paper. If there are small holes or tears, I mend them using archival-safe Lineco Document Repair Tape. If a page is folded over and not properly cut from the original production process, I trim the page (if possible) with an X-acto knife to match the size of the other pages, and round the corner with sharpened scissors as well. I straighten the ribbons and if the ends are fraying, I trim them to even them out, and seal them with archival-safe PVA glue. Most of the time, if the ribbon has broken beyond a useable length, I remove it from the spine and replace it with a comparably-colored, double-sided satin 3/8” ribbon of good quality. If there are loose liners or interior corners, I glue them back down using archival-safe PVA glue. Next, I treat the leather cover (assuming it’s leather) using three archival-safe products. The first is Cellugel Leather Consolidant. This is an alcohol based gel that stops red rot and also acts as mild binder to prevent leather-fiber loss from rough spots. I then use SC6000, an alcohol based wax that adds a protective layer to any damaged or worn spots on the Bible. Lastly, I use Preservation Solutions Restoration Leather Conditioner to bring the leather back to life. This is applied very carefully using cotton balls and cotton swabs so as not to get any on the text block. I then allow the cover to absorb the conditioner for several days, and remove any excess before storage. For storage, I tuck the ribbons and wrap the Bibles in unbuffered, pH neutral tissue paper. This preserves the natural acidity of the leather while keeping the edition free of any dust. I then place each Bible in its own box and store it laying flat, out of direct sunlight, in a climate controlled room. I recommend you do the same. Throughout this process, I catalog the edition listing all findings and details. This is the specific information you see above. Please remember, these are vintage, used editions, so things like light staining, page oxidation, wrinkles and marks on the page-edge gilt are to be expected. Even though I do my best, I am human, so I will not catch absolutely every issue, despite my best efforts. But understand that my all (to the best of my ability) has been given to these editions of the Bible because I love God’s word, and truly hope that my efforts will prolong the longevity and use of these Bibles. May God bless your reading of His word!

I have purchased from this seller before; that's why I am back. Very thorough and accurate detailed descriptions are his standard and shipping is remarkably fast, same day as auction end. He also reviews his Bibles on YouTube so you can get a detailed look. I like old Bibles and I know I can't go wrong with Rusty Bibles. I am VERY, VERY satisfied.

My lovely Bible arrived today, carefully packaged and in a sturdy box. The shipping was fast and the Bible as described. (The YouTube video sealed the deal for me! So well done.) The Bible's size is perfectly suited for traveling and the font easily readable. I look forward to doing business with you again. God bless you, and thank you kindly.
